Fluorite Flower Bracelet

The eye catching variation in colours of these Fluorite beads has inspired this project which features a bold Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp. We also used complimentary Amethyst and Green Aventurine beads plus some Sterling Silver Stardust beads for that extra sparkle. The bracelet we have made is 18cm in length. If you should want a larger size just increase the number of beads when planning your design.

How to Create:

1. Lay out the beads in the bracelet design on the bead mat.

2. Cut 5mm of French / Gimp Wire.

3. Pass one end of the Soft Touch Wire through a crimp and add the 5mm of French Wire.

4. Put the covered Soft Touch Wire through the jump ring on one half of the clasp and then back through the crimp. You should now have a loop of wire (covered with French Wire) through one side of the catch.

5. This now needs to be fastened to make a neat covered loop by squeezing the crimp closed, so it grips the wire. (Adding the French Wire is optional, but we chose to use it as it gives such a lovely finish).

6. Snip off the short end of wire within 1cm of the crimp – (to give a neat finish the first few beads should be threaded onto both pieces of thread).

7. Continue to assemble the beads in the order as shown.

8. To finish repeat 2-5

9. Pass remaining wire back through a couple of beads and snip off neatly.

Accessorise With :

Earrings:
Complimentary earrings can be made using a long head pin & a selection of the beads featured in the bracelet, then simply attach to a shepherds crook earwire. See right for the version we made. Or a simple earring could be made with just a single Fluorite Flower Bead threaded onto a head pin suspended from a length of chain from a shepherds crook earwire.

Necklet:
A simple necklet can be made using flower beads & your choice of Sterling Silver beads threaded onto a Necklet Wire (LS204). Then simply insert the end of the wire into the crimp & squeeze gently with pliers to finish.

Step 1
For extra security you could also add a Safety Chain (SF32) to your bracelet.
